Use our AVEDA Stress Fix products for a better life! These products contain Babassu oils, which come from a remote area of Brazil called Maranhao. Babassu is a natural emollient with restorative properties, great for use on dry or flaky skin. ?The oils come from the kernels of the Babasu Palm. Local women of Maranhao harvest these kernelsand shell them as a main source of income for their families. In the 1970’s, loggers invaded and the plantations forced the women and their families out of the city. Together the women formed a co-op called COPALJ (Cooperative of Agro-extractivist Producers Lago de Junco), which buys Babassu seeds from local nut breakers and sells raw oils to AVEDA mission aligned partners in Brazil. 158 families have joined COPALJ to serve over 1,500 families of the community.
The new composition oil is great for use on the body, bath, and scalp. It ?has a light consistency, while still leaving a protective moisture binding coating on the skin, making it great for dandruff and irritated scalps as well!
